Pharmacy First explained: seven conditions, no GP appointment

Pharmacy First lets community pharmacists assess and, where appropriate, supply prescription medicine for seven defined conditions, without you needing to see a GP first.

The conditions covered are earache, sore throat, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles, sinusitis and urinary tract infections in women aged 16 to 64.

Consultations happen in a private room and the outcome is sent back to your GP practice, so your record stays complete.
